On a sunny Saturday afternoon in the summer of 2021, founder Thijs faced a problem. A problem that has existed for years, but only occurs once in a while. He had to get groceries on his bike for his barbecue with friends. For this he bought delicious meat, salads, various tapenades, but also (note) a case of beer.
He could still fit the heavy bags full of groceries on his handlebars, but where was he supposed to put his crate of beer?…
In the end, fortunately, our Thijs came home unscathed, but with sore muscles in his left arm. Although the evening itself was very nice, the problem did not leave him. With a background in Mechanical Engineering, he started working on an idea the next morning, which would eventually become the Crate Hook.
